CBT 2016 Diary - May 17th

This is how this adventure begins!

May 16th 2016, 8PM is the great departure from Paris Charles De Gaulle International Airport. We arrived on the Chinese territory at 12:30PM.

Five members of the CBA team along 10 other EDHEC students started the discovery of China with the country's capital: Beijing. As soon as we landed, we visited the Summer Palace.

Constructed by an artificial lake, the palace is known for being the Empress Cixi's dwelling. We were able to walk in this Qing dynasty treasure, the wind blowing away from the city's pollution.

After a long afternoon under the heating sun, we finally took some rest with diner and then back to the hotel for a few minutes, only to go out to discover the night life of the Hutong area, and finish our meal with delicious street food.
