CBA is making its first trip to China. In order to make this happen, we are launching a crowd-funding program to collect some money in order to help student pay for a part of the trip.

The association
What is CBA?
CBA – Chinese Business Association is EDHEC’s newest association, created in October 2015 by four first year students. Driven by its values of ambition and openness, the association wants to help students to know more about China’s culture and business, in order to expand their career perspective over the frontiers. We started with 7 and now the association has a total of 20 members. 10 girls and 10 boys, motivated to make this project thrive.
CBA is a cultural project, which aims to bring people together and open minds to new horizons. Calligraphy classes, Chinese food taste tests, Chinese New Year party, and more are organized to share and entertain all year long.
But most importantly, CBA is a professional project that promotes Chinese Business by creating a French-Chinese network between students and professionals. Students, who are the next leaders of our society, will therefore build strong international relationships.

The Trip:
Cultural activities and networking sessions are not enough to understand the country fully. This is the reason why CBA wants to organize its first Chinese Business Trip to Beijing, Shanghai and Suzhou, even though the association has not celebrated its first anniversary yet.
20 students will travel to China for 10 days o discover the country’s culture by visiting many monuments (The Summer Palace, the Great Wall, Shanghai Bund, Suzhou villages, etc.), but they will most importantly learn to know China’s business world on the field by meeting EDHEC alumni Clubs, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce or the French embassy, visiting business districts, etc.
An ambitious project that we are eager to promote!
The money that we will collect will be entirely used to help student pay for the trip. Thanks to a long term partnership established this year with a travel agency, we were able to organize a trip of 10 days in Beijing, Shanghai and Suzhou for a total of $1,400 per person, all fees included. However we would like to help students to finance this trip and lower the price a little for them by launching this crowd funding.
Since the association is new, it is difficult for us to convince companies to help our project, which is why we are putting our faith in this gathering. If our aim is reached and if it goes beyond, we will be able to add more activities, so students can enjoy a memorable experience.
We hope that this project finds your interest and that we can count on your help. Thanks to you, student will be able to have a first personal impression on China. There are many counterparties that we will offer you in exchange of your help.
